We recently tried the Superhero Black Blends Coffee Sample Pack, and it honestly exceeded our expectations. It’s such a great way to explore different blends without committing to a full bag straight away — and every single one had its own distinct character.
Our absolute favourite? Black Velvet beans. Smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced. It has that deep, velvety body with low acidity and subtle chocolatey notes that make it incredibly easy to drink. It feels indulgent without being overpowering.
What we loved most about the sample pack is the consistency in quality across all blends. You can tell the beans are fresh, well-roasted, and carefully crafted. Each blend had depth and complexity, but Black Velvet stood out for its smoothness and full-bodied flavour.

French press

I've found my grail coffee for espresso/milk (Mocha Gold), but I'm still searching for my early morning French press. All three of these were mild and sweet, with some tweaking of the brew times, and I would buy any of them again (Black Velvet wins by a whisker), but I would like a bit more acidity. I've just ordered the single-origin Rwanda and Ethiopia to try :)

I enjoyed the sample pack and used a variety of brewing techniques to try them out but didn't find the one I sampled in a cafe in Sydney. They were all very nice but black velvet was by far my favorite and will buy more plus a few more packs to sample to try and find my grail bean.
