Essence of Espresso
Duration: 7 hours
One of the industry’s most respected barista training courses for over two decades, this flagship program is designed for those seeking professional certification and café-ready competency.
The course provides a comprehensive, practical understanding of espresso preparation, including grinder theory and adjustment, precise coffee weighing and dosing, espresso machine calibration, best-practice machine and grinder cleaning, milk texturing to a latte-art standard, and espresso machine troubleshooting.
The first part of the day focuses on core theory and technique, followed by an intensive hands-on practical session where students apply these skills under guidance.
Upon successful completion, each student is awarded a Danes Coffee Institute Barista Certificate, personally hand-written with their name.
Graduates leave with the confidence and capability required to work as a professional barista in a café environment.

Home Barista Course
Duration: 2 hours
This course is for anyone who wants to make genuinely good coffee at home, every morning, using their own machine properly.
Over two hours, we walk you through the full process from start to finish; how to set up and use your espresso machine, prepare and weigh coffee correctly, dial in extraction, texture milk properly, pour consistently, and clean your equipment correctly.
Our trainers will answer any questions you may have during the training, explain why things work the way they do.
This is a practical skill you’ll use for life; whether that’s enjoying better coffee every day or impressing your friends and family at home.
By the end of the session, you’ll know how to get the best out of your machine and make café-quality coffee at home.
