Essence of Espresso
Duration: 7 hours
One of the industries most respected barista training courses for over two decades. Designed to comprehensively explore correct extraction involving grinder philosophy and adjustments, correct coffee weighing methods, espresso machine calibration, best practice machine and grinder cleaning, milk texturing technique for a latte art standard and espresso machine trouble shooting.
After the first part of the day is completed the second half is all hands on practice.
Courses run from 9am – 4pm with a 30 min break
in the middle.
Danes Roastery Tour
Duration: 1.5 hours
Join our Master roaster with a roastery walk through and learn about how we have earned our award winning coffee reputation. From our very own arabica coffee plant, sourcing green beans from around the world and the coffee processing methods, to roasting mechanics, flavour and roast profiling, cupping and blending. You’ll get the full demystifying the bean experience and a heap of tips to make and source better coffee for home.
Home Barista Course
Duration: 2 hours
Join us at the Danes Specialty Coffee Institute for our Home Barista Course where our industry leading trainers can answer your questions and have you making, and of course drinking, café quality coffee at home. From puck preparation, weighing coffee and milk texturing to pouring and cleaning your machine, we will provide you with the training and tips needed to get the most out of your coffee experience at home.
Latte Art Fundamentals
Duration: 2.5 hours
Should Latte Art be a requirement for baristas? We think so. Latte art videos are an important leaning tool, however hands on latte art training with a professional will polish your technique and style in a controlled environment to practice with all the coffee and milk you need.
