Takes me back to....

I learnt to be a barista 30 years ago at Danes, Mocha Gold takes me back to that course, drinking all the coffees we made (mistakes) on our way to calling ourselves baristas. Our house now smells of Mocha Gold and every day I remember the fun we had during that course. Mocha Gold is still smooth, creamy and smells divine. Even though we don't have a commercial coffee machine at home, our home espresso machine does a great job of brewing espresso just like I remember. Love it!

Not what I was expecting!

After reading all the glowing reviews for the Danes Mocha Gold blend I purchased a 1 kg bag last week. I've been making espresso coffee at home for the past 13 years and I cannot seem to dial in the Mocha Gold blend coffee beans. I've tried experimenting with time, dose and brew temperature but the end result is always bitter which is odd considering all the reviews stating how smooth this coffee blend is.
